Prior to graduating from Tai-Sophia Institute, Maureen Gary spent
15 years working in the field of mental Health counseling and Case
Management. Maureen holds a B.A. in Psychology from the New School
of Social Research in New York City, and she currently has a private
acupuncture practice and continues to work at the North Baltimore
Mental Health Center.
Maureen's passion for complimentary healthcare led her to explore
how acupuncture and counseling could work together to help her
patients. She noticed that people could often identify their
challenges intellectually, but they might still be unable to create
change in their lives. Because acupuncture helps to move imbalances
that get stuck in the body, Maureen recognized that the two
disciplines naturally complement one another.
During Maureen's experience as an acupuncturist, she has seen her
patients experience life in new ways as they open to greater
possibilities in themselves. She envisions her roll as a partner to
her patients in their quest to reach their optimal state of well
being. She invites you to take your first step on the healing
journey - a journey that will take you deeper into yourself to
unlock the potential that exists in your body, mind and spirit.
